What does a career counsellor do in a session?+
A career counsellor helps you make sense of where you are and what to do next. In a one-on-one session you talk through your situation, interests, strengths and options; work through any assessment results; and leave with clear, practical next steps - subjects to take, courses to apply for, or the first moves in a career change.
Is online career counselling as effective as in person?+
Yes. Career counselling is a conversation, and it works just as well over a video call - with the added benefit that you can meet from anywhere in South Africa, with no travel. You get the same personal attention, and it's easy to share assessment results and notes on screen.
How do I book a career counselling session?+
You can book online in a couple of minutes. Choose the session that fits, pick a day and time that suits you, and enter your details - you'll get an emailed confirmation and a video link before the session. If you're not sure which session to book, start with the free discovery call.
How much does a career counselling or coaching session cost?+
It depends on the session. An intro discovery call is free, and focused one-on-one sessions are priced per session with no subscription or hidden fees. You'll always see the price before you confirm a booking.
Do I need to prepare anything before my session?+
No preparation is needed for a discovery call - just come with your questions. For a focused session it helps to complete the free career assessment first, so we can work through your results together, but it isn't required.
